Solar Industries Association A 100% New Zealand owned company,SolarPeak New Zealand Limited pioneered the introduction and establishment of advanced evacuated tube solar water heating in New Zealand.The SolarPeak brand is synonymous with quality, value, and versatility, the founding principles that has driven SolarPeak's steadily increasing market share.

Since its formation in 2001, SolarPeak has engaged in research and development that have focused on developing leading edge products and installation techniques. SolarPeak developed many industry accepted practices, and has active involvement in the drafting of solar water heating legislation.

SolarPeak products

SolarPeak products are manufactured in accordance with ISO9001, and meet or exceed all appropriate International and New Zealand standards. SolarPeak products are constantly being improved and refined to meet new legislative and competitive requirements.

Current product standards include:

  • AS/NZS 2712 2007 certification.

  • GBT 1527 and GBT 1521 copper heatpipe testing.

  • CE mark for all electrical equipment.

  • Energystar certfication.

  • Keymark certfication


SolarPeak collectors fully comply with EECA certified/approved modeling in order to obtain Government funding.

SolarPeak Installation

SolarPeak system configurations and installation techniques have been developed to integrate with New Zealand's varied plumbing and building practices, resulting in a solar heating system that is versatile, efficient, and affordable. Installations comply with the G12 building code, SIA code of conduct, and EECA guidelines, ensuring a trouble free installation that is legal, safe, and efficient.

SolarPeak Installer Network

It is essential for a successful solar water heating company to have a skilled installation network and the capacity to meet its installation requirements.

SolarPeak installers are qualified trades people who benefit from ongoing technical support, and the exchange of new ideas through the SolarPeak network. SolarPeak provides training which is designed to upskill installers to undertake new installation methods and changes in the codes of compliance.

SolarPeak Distribution

SolarPeak distributes its products nationwide via a well supported network of established local area distributors and independent dealers, as well as approved trades people operating as 'seeders' in developing markets. SolarPeak manages the distribution as part of its core business practice.
